Nato a San Pietroburgo, ora vive in Germania.
Ha studiato alle Accademie Musicali di San Pietroburgo e Novosibirsk.
Subito dopo iniziò i tourné in Europa, partecipando ai festival e i concorsi pianistici internazionali.
Vive in Germania dal 1991. Sua attività come concertista-solista con l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Kassel, l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Novosibirsk e l’Orchestra Sinfonica di San Pietroburgo ed altri, ha riscosso un largo apprezzamento del pubblico e della critica.
Dal 1991 insegna pianoforte all’Accademia Musicale di Kassel (Germania).
Conduce le masterclass in Germania, Austria, Grecia, Inghilterra, Corea del Sud e Russia.
Moltissime registrazioni radio e TV documentano la sua carriera artistica.
Ivan Urvalov, the russian pianist who lives in Germany now, was born in St. Petersburg. He received his musical training at the Academy of Music in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. After finishing his training he was soon touring in Western Europe, playing at festivals and taking part in international piano competitions.
He has lived in Germany since 1991. His concert activities as a soloist (among other things with Symphony orchestra Kassel, Philarmony Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg Symphony orchestra) and chamber musician (among other things as a partner of Vadim Repin, Deborah Sasson and Ludwig Baumann) soon found widespread acclaim both from the audience and from critics.
Since 1991 he has worked as a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Kassel. He also gives courses on interpretation in Germany, Austria, Greece, England, South Korea and Russia. A great number of Radio and TV-recordings document his artistic career.
